In the past year, your presence has caused me to completely re-evaluate everything about myself.  All of the sudden every decision I make, I am thinking of, "What if babySaid remembers my action here?, Would he look back and think poorly of me for it?"

You have unknowingly forced me to be the type of person I have always hoped I could be.  Thinking of what will hopefully make you proud, when you are old enough to read this, has made me a better person.

I cannot express the level of pride I have in you.  I understand the challenges that each little movement, that we take for granted, brings you while your learning. Your simplest efforts make me smile.  Your personality is really showing now, and you just make me laugh whenever we play, or when I think of while at work.  At your first birthday party, I gave you 3 red milar balloons.  You were so excited, you just giggled, and said "ball, ball, ball" over and over again while swinging your arms up and down, tugging on their cords.  Your energy is infectious and we all just laughed with you.

Whether you are giggling madly, or biting me so I don't take away the remote you so love to play with, your just so excited that we are interacting and that we are communicating.  It isn't often I laugh at getting bitten.  So feel lucky.

Thank you for all things joys you bring to my life, and I also thank you for the hardships that are making me strong enough to survive our next year together.

You make me a better person.

I love you.
